Placing redstone repeaters place in the opposite direction, they also visually drop to 1 tick once activated and stay at one tick visually if trying to change the tick amount.

same thing with comparator, pointing toward you when placing them and all 3 torches turn on on right click. Dispensers points all on the same direction.
