[MC-58303] Changing gamemode to spectator removes some of the mobs around

When I change the gamemode to spectator, around removes spiders and creepers. After changing the gamemode does not appear again.

Environment

Mac OS X 10.9.3, Oracle Java 1.7.0_60 x64
