Box cross hair while picking up a block (While using a resource pack)

When mining a block, and then while receiving the block into your inventory your cross hair turns into a box. Then as soon as you place the block down, it goes back to normal. It also goes back to normal when having two of the same blocks in your inventory. But as soon as you place one of those blocks down, it goes back to the square.
