Textures will randomly flash and flicker. This has never happened before it wasn't caused by a graphics update I tried rolling back drivers and I made sure I had latest version, I reinstalled java, reinstalled minecraft. I tried taking screenshots and video the flickering did not show in them.

in 1.7.9 there is a workaround: Anisotropic filtering. When textures go into mip for some reason they have some crazy seam issues that cause nasty flicker.

1.7.4 is outdated. Please check to see if it occurs on 1.7.9
