Hopper Problems

When an item slightly off center of the hopper doesn't go in.

What I expected to happen was the item to go through the hopper.:*

What actually happend was the items stayed there.:*

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place a hopper on top of a chest.
2. Throw items slightly off center of the hopper.
