Hoppers can transfer any item into brewing stands

While testing the 12w01a snapshot, I attached a hopper to the top of a brewing stand, and threw various items into it. This caused the bottom three slots of the brewing stand to be filled up with stacks of items such as dirt. This shouldn't be possible, as only glass bottles+potions should be allowed in those slots.
