If a circuit is created using four pistons arranged to push a Redstone Block around in a square, after a while, the block disappears. I have attached pictures of the circuit in question. The two screenshots were taken almost immediately after each other (i.e. the one where the redstone block is visible is right before it disappeared.)

Yes, sorry should have been more clear, by disappear I mean "become invisible". The pistons continue to work and when I destroy one, the redstone block reappears.
