Spawning a rabbit sometimes spawn three rabbits.

When spawning a rabbit using a spawn egg or via /summon Rabbit, it occasionally spawns three rabbits instead of just one. I'm not sure if this is the way it was intended to work or if it's a bug, so I thought I'd report it.

Video demonstrating bug:
http://youtu.be/NVP5shK64w4

What I expected to happen was...:
When spawning a rabbit only one appears.

What actually happened was...:
Sometimes when spawning a rabbit, three appear instead.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start a new creative world in 14w27a/b
2. Get a rabbit spawn egg
3. Use spawn egg (it doesn't happen all the time, only occasionally, so it may take many tries)

I also noticed it might be in the video that it will always spawn the same type of rabbit and the only different rabbits is the extra rabbits it spawns

Did some more testing and found that it's not only with the "Toast" spawn egg, but with any rabbit spawn egg. Updated details in bug report to reflect this finding.

Also happens with /summon
Confirmed in 12w27b

This is probably intended. There appears to be a 1 in 7 chance that spawning a rabbit will spawn 2 additional rabbits, much like how there is a 1 in 7 chance that spawning an ocelot will spawn two baby ocelots.

Even is intended, the /summon command migth spawn one rabbir per time.

This should only happen for natural spawns. Spawn eggs and /summon are basically used by mapmakers and server admins only. A random amount of entities spawning would just mess things up.

WAI, that happens for ocelots, too.
