Items are tossed out unwillingly

When browsing inventory you pick up an item and then try to place it somewhere else the item is tossed out onto the ground.

When I did this first i thought it was my mouse but realized that That still would not affect it. What is happening is that the item is thrown on the ground but I never threw it out.

Doesn't happen to me. Been on creative all day testing stuff and never had a problem. Maybe more details on how to duplicate the bug.

All I know is that when I open the inventory in creative mode and select an item, when I go to place it on the belt(the thing at the bottom of the screen) it just poops out and disappears. I don't know what else to say. It might be a processing glitch with my computer but it only happens in this version.

BTW I have no mods for this version.

You place it right under the creative inventory, not at the bottom of the screen.

What do you take me for a fool? I know how to play minecraft and I happen to be the most computer smart person in my entire school. Don't give me crap about were to place it. I know were to place it. I did it right it just got thrown out instead of transferring to the box.

You specifically stated "place it on the belt(the thing at the bottom of the screen)", so the response from Tails was quite expected. The place literally on the bottom of the screen is wrong place to try to stuff items into (when in creative mode). Considering that the problem you're having matches exactly the case when item is incorrectly tried to be placed in that wrong place, Tails had two good reasons to come to the conclusion he came to.

Not saying that you couldn't be experiencing a bug, but... there would need to be more information to confirm the bug first.

I'll attach a screenshot. If you can confirm you indeed try to put it in the area marked with green, it would be a bug. (uh oh, I forgot the red-green color-blinded; anyway, the upper marked area is the correct).

Markku,
The green area is exactly were I placed the item when I had this bug but it no longer occurs in new version.

I couldn't reproduce it ever.. However, the thicker separator parts of the GUI frame just below and above the slots do cause the item to be thrown. If there was some sort of glitch with the pointer vs. its real location, you may have ended up clicking on the wrong spot even if it looked correct. Who knows...

However, I think it would be better usability if those thicker parts would not cause a throw effect (since it is easy to also accidentally miss a little bit), but clicks there would simply be ignored. But this in turn isn't a bug, so not an issue for this JIRA, and as there is no "official" channel for improvements that would actually work in any recognizable probability...
