Dispensed Command Blocks don't output from comparator

I've been playing in all of the snapshots and I've been using dispensers to spit out command blocks (setup is shown in the picture). When the command block is powered by the redstone block, it triggers and turns on the comparator because it successfully executed the command. However, in 14w27b, it doesn't output the signal via comparator even though it did work in all other snapshots that I've played on. (The commands in the dispenser just change a scoreboard value, I thought I should add that in case it matters). If I remove the redstone block and place it again, it updates and outputs a signal through the comparator.

Look in the command block. Does the "Previous Output" have an "X" next to it or "O"?
Make sure it is O
Edit: changed the period to ?

cannot confirm

What I can confirm is it doesn't get powered immediately.

I don't think the lever (Edit) button is even powering the command block when spit out. Still, I would check to see if it's an X

Confirmed

also tested: doth X and O don't work

Sam Bone

The lever in my picture.
Oops, I just realized it's a button. I was first using a lever.

When I press the button again, it turns on. The command I used is /testfor @p
