when Placing block chunks make block go invisible

found that at random times a chunk will start to make my blocks go invisible. disconnecting and re logging into the server fixes the glitch. the block highlight box is still there and i can still place blocks like normal even though the texture is missing. when looking down on the block I can see through the world. like that of a x ray mode resource pack.
