Sorry it is in MC section (and under 1.8), I couldn't find the MCPE bug tracker (or any MCPE versions). Please move this to the appropriate section if possible. When entities are on the ground (I have observed this with mobs too), they are still lit and still produce a shadow. See attached for more details.
