A sticky piston was placed horizontal, and intense lag spikes were observed upon the block two in front of the piston changing. Both placement by player and placement by powering the piston resulted in a short freeze. Also occurred with a regular piston.
Edit: Only occurred when in server. Did not occur in single player.
