Chunks not rendering properly, transparent

After initial load, and traveling some distance from spawn, chunks will fail to render and become transparent.

Somewhat of a workaround: Changing the render distance from 16 to 15 chunks, and vice versa when seeing these transparent chunks will cause them to render, but the problem will persist upon traveling away from the rendered area.
