Block Break/Place Render Delay

When I loaded up minecraft in the lateset snapshot i wanted to make sure that a bug that i had in a prevoius snapshot wasnt there but when i tried to place down any block i would see only the hitbox and particles for a few seconds... pistons being powered would appear not powered temporarily too.
