Block placement/removal visual issue

This bug causes blocks to be invisible for a few seconds after being placed, and to remain visible for a few seconds after being broken.

I was building a small roller coaster to test the new minecart features when I noticed the bug. It caused building the coaster to be somewhat challenging, as I could not see whether the block I had just placed was there or not. The minecarts also passed through the affected blocks.
