when playing any 1.7 version and 1.8 snapshots, there is flickering across the entire window. the flickering always is the same color as the sky. it doesn't go away when looking in different directions. The flickering also occurs in fullscreen. When i enable the fullscreen option, it goes fullscreen into a crazy graphical mess.and is hard to get out of unless i quit minecraft. The Flickering occurs regardless of the current gamemode.

Please see my previous note on the "future version". Do NOT change that back. Also, do not mark issues as private, unless your bug report is an exploit or contains information about your username or server.
I also and using OS X Yosemite beta 4 and This is happening to me. Hope this gets fixed because I love playing minecraft and I would love to keep beta testing but If they won't fix I must revert to Mavericks
Since this does not happen with a non beta OSX , this is not a Minecraft bug.
Create a ticket at Apple.
@Kumasasa it is most certainly a bug with minecraft, and if Apple knew what the problem or how to fix it, they couldnt because its Mojangs Game. Not theirs.
Guys! I had exactly the same problem on yosemite so deleted my minecraft folder after backing it up and it hasn't happened since! I then put my worlds and resource packs back along with server.dat and it all works! Hope I helped! EDIT: It works for a while and then it comes back 😞 EDIT: Fixed in Yosemite Public Beta 3
