Wierd Sun Glitch

This probably has to do with an optimization to rendering. I created a redstone ready flatland world. It was just created, so the sun was still rising. I turned to look at the sun, and it appears that there is a strange, rotating triangle that makes the sun disappear when you look directly at it.
