Tamed rabbits teleport you as wolves and cats

Rabbits not sitting is a WAI (MC-60244).

I find this feature with rabbits helishly aggravating. I want to breed them for meat. But the buggers teleport as soon as the chunk unloads and reloads (leash drops) Can we tame these things and not have these things teleport to a player? The fact you need a lead to keep them where they should be is frustrating. It would be easier if they just stayed where they were put when tamed. If they can't be sat, don't have them teleport.

Great! I did not see it in the list of resolved bugs. I tested it out and now I don't have them stupidly following me. Meat farm!

I don't think this is really fixed. I think it's just that MC-55661 is broken even worse in 14w31a.

Since the total-teleportation-breakage in 14w31a was fixed, rabbits will teleport again in 14w32a if you walk near a wall of appropriate blocks (e.g. a wall of glass blocks at least 2 high). They still won't teleport into air blocks (nor will dogs or cats) due to the remaining problems behind MC-55661.

Please reopen this bug. It was never actually fixed, just hidden by a different bug.

Yes, I just tried this out. I have one tame rabbit, and I put it in a pen while I wandered my settlement. It stays put alright but when I pass through any of the doors to enter my shelter the rabbit is sitting there saying hi.

This bug was still occurring in 14w33c, but appears to have been obsoleted as of 14w34b since rabbits are no longer tamable.

I have read this a few times in multiple issues: " as of 14w34b since rabbits are no longer tamable."

Where do the release notes for 14w34b say this? Did Mojang say that rabbits can no longer be tamed or are you saying its bugged since 14w34b?
