Spawn eggs are very useful, especially for PVP as a Weapon. But since the 1.8 snapshots, you cannot use spawn eggs in Adventure mode. If you try right-clicking it on a block, nothing happens. The New features of Adventure mode is that you cant break blocks (Without special NBT), not that you cant right-click them so you can use an item. I don't understand why this doesn't work, you don't need to be able to break the block to use a spawn egg on it. It would be really nice if this was fixed, and PLEASE don't tell me that its meant to be like this, because this is inefficient and annoying! Again, Please fix this! (Along with the Relative (~) co-ordinates not working with Spreadplayers bug...)

@Duel, I can confirm that "CanPlaceOn" works for right-clicking (while "CanDestroy" would just let you break blocks with it). In that case, I'm inclined to agree that it's an intentional implementation.
No, because then you are telling EVERYONE that you must put 160+ CanPlaceOn Tags (For Every Block) on EVERY Spawn Egg. If you would be so kind, could you give me the NBT tag for every block to put on Spawn Eggs?
Exactly my point...
Not sure if this is a fix, but you can probably use the CanDestroy/CanPlaceOn tag to be able to right click the spawn eggs on certain blocks
This is just a theory though and cannot confirm atm. Though probably intentional
