This was tested using the Mine Wars resource pack. It doesn't look as good holding an upside-down blaster. I was, if this is needed, in a customized world in an endless mushroom island.

Confirmed using my texture pack, too. It's very hard to see through default pack due to it being symmetrical; but is clearly visible through texture pack.
