Helmets can't be taken off of armor stands while flying above them in creative mode

If you put a helmet on an armor stand and fly above it in creative mode, right clicking on top of the helmet does nothing. It works when you're on the ground or flying at just about the same altitude as it, however. All other armor pieces besides the helmet can be right clicked and taken off while flying.
