I've been playing the snapshots for a while with no issues outside of the VBO issue I submitted before. Suddenly, earlier today, I went to switch between worlds and found that the creative world I had would not render in. No world I switched to would render in. They only rendered when lowering the view distance, but even then, chunks would load slowly or not at all, and there would be huge lag spikes, despite playing offline.
Attempting to load maps are now very slow, with it stalling on "Downloading Terrain" typically, and attempting to quit results in another hang up.
I should note that I was noticing some minor lag stuttering last night as I was riding my horse in my main world.
This is the kind of warning I get from the log file:
[Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 42034ms behind, skipping 840 tick(s)
Playing with the maximum allotted memory has little effect. I decreased it from 8 to 4, and all that happened was that the stalling on map load and saving/quitting was reduced a bit.
I have had no issues in the past, and have been running at 32 chunk view distance without issue since it has become an option. Prior to that I have also never had issues with performance on this machine.

Here is a full log from me loading my creative world and then closing: I tried seeing if removing some of the Java instructions (-xx and useg1gc) would change anything and it didn't seem to help in anyway. Increasing the minimum memory from 2 to 4 while leaving the max at 4 did seem to help in chunk loading but NPCs were still lagged and placing new ones with eggs was also lagged.

I should clarify that by lag spikes, I mean that, aside from breaking blocks, I can not interact with anything, and npc/mobs stop moving briefly, before rapidly moving where they mean to be. During these spikes I can still move freely.
Additionally, I attempted to roll back a few snapshots and still had this issue. Attempting to create a new 1.7.10 world resulted in this:
