The splash that displays "Now java 6!" should say "Now Java 6!". This is similar to a previously fixed bug where Realms wasn't capitalized at the splash "Now with realms!".

Now Java 6! | Support for Java 5 was dropped in Minecraft 1.6. |
BTW: Java 7 is outdated too. Currrent version is Java 8U20
well, yeah I know it's also in pre, but does Minecraft support it? 7 is what people are told to update to whe they have problems that sometimes may actually be caused by using 6
IMO it runs better & faster with Java 8.

Minecraft, although not recommended, has support for Java 6. It, simply put, should say Java 6. It does work best with Java 8. Also, I should point out that Java 8 is not in beta, but is also not on the Oracle's official Java downloads page. This is because some Java programs (Minecraft is NOT one of them) don't work with Java 8. Any day now, you will be required to update to Java 8. It's best to install it now.
It should say Java 7, since Java 6 is outdated and unsupported
