if you want to drop a whole stack, you have to do command+drop key shortcut, in order to do this with default, ie q, you have to hold down shift so it doesn't straight up quit minecraft, for mac, cntrl-key would work just fine, thank you, for instance, i set drop block to r, and if i hit cmd r once, it works, but i have to hit r a second time without command in order to drop another stack of something else, when hovering over blocks in my inventory, repeated cmd-r's work but when out of hot-bar, i have to hit r again to reset the ability to drop objects, and when i press r, even if i have another item selected in hot-bar, it wont drop anything until the second press of the key

I'm not sure what you expect Mojang to do about this. Cmd+Q quitting the game is a Mac function, it has nothing to do with minecraft. If you don't want it to happen, simply disable that shortcut.

We can’t change the command button to drop a stack in minecraft conf... On windows it’s the ctrl command ! We need the same shortcut on mac...
I don’t use q to drop things

I can't understand your description very well. Could you please explain it using full sentences and correct spelling?

It’s the description of the first ticket 🙂
Not working
1) cmd + F on a stack => it drop
2) cmd + F on an other stack => it drop
Working but not usable
1) cmd + F on a stack => it drop
2) only cmd (cmd + F don’t work)
3) cmd +F on an other stack => work
I don’t think using cmd is a good idea it’s a system button very use in mac OS and have a lot of interactions with the system. Replace it with ctrl will solve all problems...
The problem is very embarrassing in UHC because we must drag the stack and looze a lot of time.

Is this still in 15w47c or later versions?
Relates to MC-22882

@KingSupernova Would it be reasonable if alt-f4 was the default "drop full stack" key on Windows? Of course not! They shouldn't change cmd-Q (it IS possible), so they need to pick a different binding.

Ticket resolved as incomplete, because no answer in a reasonable amount of time (1+ year), if it still happens, please update the ticket.
Some update for this really annoying bug ? It’s just changing cmd+drop to ctrl+drop...
