Commands can contain hidden characters

Sometimes, a command can spontaneously gain the character "" at the end of the command. The character will not display, but it will be there, meaning that the last argument in the command will not work. The command will stay there if the command is copy/pasted, or if the NBT data is saved. This only happens in command blocks, but if copy/pasted into chat, it will still not display. To replicate the character not displaying, just copy and paste it into minecraft. I haven't yet figured out how to replicate it spontaneously appearing in commands, but it happens to me a lot.

THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WHEN COPY AND PASTING COMMANDS FROM YOUTUBE TO MINECRAFT COMMAND BLOCKS

just make sure to go through command and remove it before you copy and paste

srry caps

I considered that, but it has happened on several commands that I didn't copy/paste.

This is not a bug.

What are you talking about? It's a character that's invisible and messes up commands. Of course it's a bug.

Simply don't put garbage in the command block.
Don't blame Minecraft for the fault of others unable to provide garbage free commands.

As I said in an earlier comment, it would still sometimes appear when I wrote the command myself. If you don't want to consider that a bug, what about that fact that it's invisible? That is clearly a bug.

The characters don't appear by themselves, it's you pressing the cursor keys while typing commands. See MC-49755

In that case, the status of this bug should be duplicate, not invalid.
