Gamerule mobGriefing doesn't prevent blaze fire.

When having the gamerule mobGriefing set to false (/gamerule mobGriefing false) blaze balls still leave fire on impact with block.

Cannot confirm.
Nothing burns with mobGriefing set to false.
Please double check by typing gamerule mobGriefing in the chat / console

Are you on 1.8-pre3 ? Was fixed for 14w08 in MC-9664

Summoned blaze balls I should add, sorry.

A command block is not a mob.
mobGriefing prevents only changes to your world done by mobs.
It's no difference if you (or your command blocks) summon fireballs to you (or your dispensers) using flint & steel.

Summoned ghast balls don't leave fire though.
