can't mine or place blocks when changing from spectator to survival

im playing on 1.8 and put in the command 'gamemode 3' went and looked around and went back to 'gamemode 2', now i cant mine or place blocks

Gamemode 2 isnt survival its the adventure mode and in the adventure mode you cant destroy and place blocks
