I don't know if it's the game itself, or just my computer, but whenever I minimize Minecraft my screen goes blank and my monitor goes to sleep, then after a while I either have to shut off the computer or it shuts off itself.
It's quite possibly just my computer but it only happens when I minimize Minecraft, so I dunno.
