Banners are not showing color? ._.

In the creative inventory typing "banner" or anything near,banners don't show color in the inventory,or when you place them down,they appear white,i tried putting in colors and all and it doesn't work, plus im not sure if this is anything weird but when I hover over a "painted" one its says [+NBT]?
