Non-op users cannot use doors properly in spawn protected area

I noticed a bug on two servers - one running Linux, one running Windows, so possibly affects all environments.

When there is a spawn protected area, non-op users are able to open doors but cannot walk through them. It seems as though the client has updated with the new model for the open door, then when they try to walk through the server believes that they should not be allowed? This is just my guess. It results in what seems like rubber banding while trying to get through the door.

Making the user an op or removing the spawn protected area resolves the issue.

I would like to add to this issue, which will significantly narrow down the causes.

When using a server mod which hooks into the (name varies) `Block Right Click Event`, and cancelling it after the player right clicks the top block of the door, the door will open or close, regardless of the event being cancelled or not. However, like Aaron reported, although the door appears to be open, the players are still unable to walk through the door, as they are glitched back to where they were formerly standing.

I am nearly 100% certain that this bug is related to the right click event for the top block of doors not being canceled properly on the client.

As well, the bug still persists in version 1.8.2-Pre6

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
