MC v1.4.7 : i can destroy 60x Sandstone (ID24)
But in MC 13w02b i destroy only 59x Sandstone (ID24)
i testing it with 2 lines left 13w02b and on the right 1.4.7 ( 60blocks )

Unable to reproduce. Placed down 60 Netherrack in 1.4.7 and 13w02b, both times pickaxe broke on the last Netherrack.
