I've have only had a handful of slime spawns since version 1.8 came out in any of my worlds. My old worlds and the one I created after 1.8 came out. I have an old world that had plentiful slime spawns on the slime chunks in version 1.7.10 and now have zero spawns in 1.8.
Environment
swampland and slime chunks
