Open to LAN wont allow joining

Open to LAN allows the server to be seen but not joined. Its not just the internet or just this computer I have tried multiple computers on various internets.

Confirmed. I can't join my wife's LAN game either, Minecraft gives me an error message about an invalid login token but restarting the game does not help.

Did your Launcher say Play Offline when you started the game?

I think Mojang's servers are having problems as I logged out to log back in thinking it would help, but now I get "SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out" and I can't play anymore.

Cannot confirm. The only thing that's down at the moment is the Minecraft website.

May have been a temporary glitch.

still isnt working error is java.net.SocketException: Permission denied no further information
