Mining blocks out of reach by jumping causes mining to be paused.

When mining a block above you that you can only reach by jumping, when you fall back to the ground the mining will pause, instead of reverting to a non-mined block. This only happens in 1.8.

Confirmed in single player survival on a dirt block HOWEVER after exactly 20 seconds each time, it reverts back to its non-mined appearance. This appears to only happen on blocks just out of reach above you as opposed to in front of you when you start to mine it and then back up out of range while still attempting to mine it.

confirmed for 1.8.1 pre-3.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.10.2, or 16w42a) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time.

At least from my experience, this bug no longer affects 1.10.2. Haven't checked 1.11 snapshots yet.
