When I press ctrl + q nothing happens and when I try command q it quits minecraft 😞 This happens in all gamemodes

Are your keyboard commands setup to handle specifically a "CTRL+Q" for dropping items? Hit escape, click "Options" and then "Controls". Look at the "Drop Item" command. What does it say for the key configuration?
