In the Nether, I broke a block that was securing lava and the lava flowed out very fast.

If this is intended for lava to flow like water, Mojang must be trolling us.

Mojang is not trolling us. In the nether, lava flows faster than in the overworld

This isn't a bug, it's always been this way; lava flows as quickly in the Nether as water does in the Overworld. You can delete this issue.
