There is no breaking animation on chests. This glitch has been around from the 1.0 launch and it really is annoying.
Please fix it.

Duplicate of MC-676, please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 42% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
It's not an full block any more so it can't support breaking animations. This is working as intended.
