The bug

When you add a server, if you use play.(1 letter).com (for example, play.f.com) and you go back to erase that f, it won't do it.

How to reproduce

  1. Enter play.g.com into server address field

  2. Go back to with cursor between g and .com

  3. Press backspace
    → Nothing happens

Unable to reproduce.
Confirmed; only affects java 8, on Windows.

Stes to reproduce:

  • Enter play.g.com into server address field

  • Go back to with cursor between g and .com

  • Press backspace

  • Nothing happens

I know this may not really mean anything, but I was using Magic Launcher (with no mods loaded) instead of the Minecraft Launcher.

I tested this with the Minecraft Launcher, with Pre-release 1, 2 and 3 and got excatly the same result.

Can confirm in 1.16.5 and 21w08b.

Can confirm that this was an issue in 21w10a, 21w11a, and 21w13a, however, I cannot confirm in 21w14a meaning that this problem was fixed in this version.
