Weird "entity" killed

I'm not really sure how this happened but, I imported a schematic on mcedit into my world, and their was supposed to be an entity on top of a preassure plate that activated a not gate. But the not gate doesn't update and when I do /kill @e[type=!Player] it said "killed notgate" or something like that. I just though it was weird though.

NotGate is the codename for a redstone torch.

Well Mustek that is probably not what he meant. I guess the entities name was notgate and maybe it didn't update because you used MCEdit. Because MCEdit doesn't cause block updates when you use it to modify your world.

Nah Mustek is right, since I didn't have an entity with the name of "notgate" and some items have weird codenames, like "sulphur" for gunpowder.

Well alright, then probably the message you got was: "Killed item.item.notGate", thought it was only notGate, sorry 😞

Porbably then a redstone torch had no block beneath it. So maybe try to import the schematic on a solid block surface, if you haven't already 😃
