Sometimes whenever I break a block, the block breaks and then reappears after a second and then break again. This makes it really hard to mine.

the way i see it, it only happens when using a poor internet connection
I think that is due to single-player working as local servers as of 1.3. If a Mojang staff sees this, he/she will most likely resolve this as "Won't Fix"
