Put the summary of the bug you're having here
I used the superflat customization thing to make a preset. I used a "hidden block id" of 33:7 to make the whole world be made up of 6-sided piston heads. As soon as I typed in 33:7 and hit use preset, Minecraft crashed.

What I expected to happen was...:
Minecraft to say in layers 53xSanstone, 3x33:7, and 1xBedrock

What actually happened was...:
Minecraft crashed!

Steps to Reproduce:
1 Click singleplayer
2 click create new world
3 select creative
4 select superflat and click customize
5 click presets
6 click redstone ready
7 change "3*minecraft:stone" to "33:7"
8 See the crash.

Sorry to "bug" you during this christmas season

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Cannot set property bet{name=facing, clazz=class ej, values=[down, up, north, south, west, east]} to null on block minecraft:piston, it is not an allowed value

There is no Block 33:7, see http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Data_values#Piston

Then how come that there are about 20 people on youtube, and crap who have sort've glitched those blocks into their inventories?

EDIT: I meant used setblock command

Also, then how come minecraft is acknowledging that the block is a piston, but it just can't put the "head" on all four sides?! It's just saying that it is not allowed? Did it get removed? Something isn't adding up here...

Again, Block 33:7 is an invailid block.
It's neither obtainable in survival or creative mode.
Of course you can give or setblock any block with any metadata, but you'll have to face the consequences if the game is crashing then.

Is there an article I can read on metadata, then? I want to know why you can set block any block with any meta data, but that block is unobtainable. Is it like the id of the daylight_sensor, vs the
daylight_sensor_inverted? You can see it, you can interact with it, but you can't use the give command to obtain it for free placing? Thank you for your help so far, though.
