I created a survival world on and started playing. I saw a pack of four wolves in a nearby forest. I planned to wait until I had bones then tame them. However, after a few [Minecraft] days the wolves disappeared from my world. According to the Minecraft Wiki, wolves are just like farm animals and won't despawn.
How to reproduce:
1. Create a survival world that spawns in or near a Forest, Taiga, Mega Taiga, Cold Taiga, or Cold Taiga M biome.
2. If there are wolves nearby wait for a few [Minecraft] days to pass by and they will despawn.
