When placing a compass in an item frame in Minecraft version 1.8, your frames per second is greatly reduced. Upon initial testing I was at approximately 40 fps and was reduced down to 6 upon enacting the experiment. Looking away from the item frame removes the majority of the issues, but when the compass is rendered in the item frame it reduces your frames and overall weakens your gameplay.
