Maps Not Updating

I was on my realm building and I decided to update the maps by taking them out of the item frame and walking to the designated area. The maps didn't update and didn't show my position, only the green arrow when in the item frame or the white dot on the side when off of the map's view. In the first screenshot, the giant circle is where I am at in the world, but on the map, it says I am off-screen. In the second screenshot. The green arrow is where the 2 item frames are in the world, but I am obviously in front of them, next to the mushroom fountain.

I also searched with the keywords "maps not updating" and I only got ones where you leave and rejoin. I have been on the realm for about an hour before I did this.
