I try to give myself a portal block and setblock also but I he says "There is no such item with name minecraft:portal". in 1.7.10- it was possible inb 1.8 not so is it a normal thing or a bug so I want to know

Mohannad, you aren't supposed to give them this particular block. It was removed in 1.8 due to it being a technical block.

Oh ok 😞 but fire also is removed so why baybe nether portal has no use but fire block is useful to make chainmail armor in a server and it is also removed why?

Mohannad, The block is not removed, but the item form is.
