[MC-77982] Changing Guardian generic.attackDamage has no effect

Editing the Guardian or Elder Guardian attack damage has no effect on either the laser beam attack or its thorn attack. The laser beam attack is also invisible when attacking the player directly. It is visible, however, when attacking squids or other players.

/summon Guardian ~ ~1 ~ {AttributeModifiers:[{AttributeName:"generic.attackDamage",Name:"generic.attackDamage",Amount:20}]}

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Damage modifier not working confirmed for 15w47c. However, the beam is always clearly visible when attacking the player.
