My fullscreen is unusual

whenever i press "Toggle Fullscreen" or press F11, my game screen gets all weird. About 50% of my screen (In the upper-left area) shows only a fraction of my game. I cannot see my hotbar or the ground. only numbers of items and durability bars appear. the rest of my screen is black, or if I've recently pressed escape, a bit of the pause screen is there instead of the blackness. My mouse will still go into the black/pause area, but clicking does nothing. This only happens in fullscreen mode. I have tried triggering a debug manual crash. it crashed but fixed nothing.

What I expected to happen was...:
a regular fullscreen gaming session

What actually happened was...:
A very annoying bug

Steps to Reproduce:
Im not sure if that's possible. Sorry.

Please attach a screenshot.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.

Probably borked DPI scaling. I have the same issue in Windows 8. It's an issue with how the game window renders to the screen though, so a screenshot from in game would show normally. Use the print screen button instead, then open Paint and Ctrl+V, save as some file, then attach it here.

Here is the crash report when i forced the crash.

Your graphics card doesn't support Minecraft > 1.6, because Intel does not provide updated drivers..

This is a technical support issue; this site is for bug reports only. For technical support please use the Mojang Support Center.

I don't mesn to argue, but I have only started experiencing this issue about 2 weeks ago, at which time I had been running 1.8.3 for a while. Before that my game was fine. The other day, it stopped going weird, then the next day it was distorted again. The first time I had found this problem was the second time I had used the new launcher, if that helps.

Sorry about the spelling error(s). I sent that from an iPod
