Boot Durability not behaving as expected

We have noticed our boots breaking at an accelerated rate, both on our realms and our vanilla servers. This is even though boots have a higher durability than the helmet. I am not sure how to go about reporting this except by sending a few screenshots of damage over 2 minutes of fighting mobs on enchanted gear with level 7 unbreaking generated from command blocks.

NOTE: we understand unbreaking only has a chance to reduce damage, but given the durability of the boots is higher than a helm we image the helm would actually break first.

The screenshots below show damage over approx 1 minute of fighting approx 12 mobs.
It compares the damage done to the helmet versus the boots.

As you can see the boots always take more damage and faster than the rest of the gear. In all test cases even with out encants boots always broke first or took more damage faster.

Every type of protection will reduce player damage in exchange for durability. I'm not sure what the expected behaviour should be when stacking those, since they do not stack naturally. Other sources of durability reduction include the Thorns enchantment, as well as fall damage.

How is it possible to combine the several protection spells ? How is unbreaking VII obtainable ?

@CubeTheThird, Expected Behaviour in our case would be to break the helmet first since the Durability is less, and in our tests we were not taking fall damage. In all cases the boots break first. Even test cases where we have add no enchants, the boots will take more damage and break first, via fighting mobs. "NOTE: no fall damage." This is what led us to believe possibly the Durability is not behaving as expected.

@kumasasa - unbreaking 7 or v11 in our case is obtained through progression events via command blocks.

I do believe i need to close this report, after hours of testing and scribbling some math. I have figured out the issue and order of damage per our progression system.

I do apologise for the report. The durability at default item and default allowed in game enchants does seem to be mitigating damage as expected.
