Sound shuts off while playing

While playing (repeated on Realms and single player, possibly other game modes) sound randomly stops playing with seemingly no set interval. Pressing F3+s causes game to freeze for 15-20 seconds before game resumes fully functional. I did NOT have this issue with my old computer on windows 7.

Attached contains multiple occurances. It seems to happen most often when placing cobble slabs or blocks or breaking smooth stone during an animal noise. I initially thought it was the fact that I was amassing as many chickens as I could in a 3x3 pit, so there was a constant chicken noise being played, and the engine would crash when I placed or broke a block. But I cleared it out and still had the same problem with cats or sheep, and also had it happen once after placing a torch. However, I had it happen in a creative single player world with no mobs around as well.

Is this still an issue in the current Minecraft Snapshot 15w47c or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

No it is not, the seemingly related error still pops up on the log occasionally but the sound engine doesn't crash anymore. Thank you!
